The humor, however, is one of the problems.

But he’s not just a sad sack, he’s also pretty clever and humorous too. He lost the love of his life and best friend, and was cursed with his powers by said best friend. The things he’s done are highly irrational, but you have to feel bad for him at the same time. Being one of the few villains that proves more powerful than Danny, Vlad is intimidating, funny, and actually pretty tragic. But one villain stand out above the others Vlad Plasmius. Not to mention that the villains are just as fun, notably Technus, Skulker, Desiree, and Freakshow. Danny Fenton, now known as Danny Phantom, devotes his life to saving his town from the ghosts that have escaped from the portal. When their project fails, Danny decides to take a look inside and accidentally presses a button which fuses the power of a ghost in him. Since Danny’s parents are so obsessed with ghosts and capturing them, they built a portal in order to make contact with the “Ghost Zone”. And that’s the part that makes this show so great Danny’s powers. He’s not the funniest, but he’s just so genial and witty, while having an edge of badass up his sleeve. Dannyprobably remains my favorite character to this day. Okay, I kind of spoiled that for you, but it’s pretty obvious two episodes in. Two people from his school, however, manage to stick by him, with his techno geek friend Tucker and future love interest Sam. He lives with his ghost obsessed parents and his by-the-book sister, Jazz. And like his Fairly Odd counterpart Timmy Turner, Danny’s also misunderstood at home as well. Danny is dejected by most of his schoolmates, notably bully Dash and unrequited lover Pauline, but still remains good-spirited. The show stars Danny Fenton, a fourteen-year-old boy that lives in a fictional place called Amnity Park. On top of that, it’s one of Nick’s most creative series. Being Butch Hartman’s second cartoon after The Fairly OddParents, I feel Danny Phantom holds up more than its preceder. Danny Phantom isn’t without its flaws, but I still consider it to be one of the greatest Nicktoons.
